"Honey-Do" List: Washer and Dryer Stand
I used some of my downtime and spare supplies from the garage to build this stand for our laundry room. I decided to beef it up by attaching it to the walls as well as building supports underneath. This give us the most room underneath and the most stability. The shelf floor is framed with 2x6 and screwed into the wall studs. I then placed plywood and 2x6 uprights under the shelf to provide additional support. The rope trim was added to the front to hide the cuts and give it a nice finishing touch. We can easily fit three baskets underneath. I also plan on adding some shelves above the machines. How does it look?
